I started my camp life back in 2011 when I was 18. Going at that stage in my life was a tough task but I stuck to it and flew out to Camp Poyntelle. Upon my arrival I was nervous and being quite a shy person at the time didn’t help! But with time camp took ahold of me and transformed me into the person I am today. It taught me not to fear but to be confident and to accept new challenges. I started my days at camp as a soccer specialist and a junior boy counselor. With experience I moved on to becoming the Athletic director with the added year of being Poyntelle boys division head. Once again challenged but in the best way possible because moving onto a supervisor role opened me up to meeting and working with people I shall not forget. Not to mention the life of the camp, the campers! To say Camp was a big part of my life is an understatement.
All the best, Michael 2011-2017, Liverpool, UK.
